Had an argument last night with my sister. Still simmering on the back burner right now. Went something like this:

"I let him (note: my brother) drive my car...you (in this case, me) are the only one in this family that doesn't let other people drive!"

"I would let you if you could but only mom can drive stick."

::mom pipes in::

"why don't you teach her?"

"If she wants to."

"Sure...why not."

"Wait. Remind me again what you think about hatchbacks."

"Oh my God I can't stand them. I don't get why you like them."

"Look at it!"

"Also, it's not a sports car. My car (note: Mazda3 sedan) looks more like a sports car than yours."

"First, what? Mine definitely looks and is sporty. Second, you're not driving it now until you appreciate it."

::mom again::

"Look at him...hes getting so upset."

I was rolling back on the couch grabbing the side of my head in frustration.

I just can't...

Just teach her how to drive without pissing her off and she'll understand how much fun it is. As long as you remember to not stress her out and you stay calm. She just doesn't know any better, how can she know better if you won't teach her?

On the one hand, she sounds like she wouldn't be careful and might damage your car or your clutch. But on the other, if your parents helped pay for it and you're living there, you might owe it to them to teach them how to drive it until you can either moveout or pay off your parents.

But if it is 100% your money then by all means tell everyone else to die in a fire before they get to drive your car.

taught the wife in a parking lot. I didn't have to get up to move it at the old place then. She won't drive on the road though, too much to think about/remember.

It's a Focus St right?

A Mazda 3 sedan is nothing near a sports car, if she insists that your car isn't a sports car why don't you just flat out race her, Haha.

Or teach her how to drive stick, if she destroys the clutch. Then Oh Well, she pays for it.

Yeah your money, your car, your rules. When my parents paid for my insurance in high school, I had to shuttle around my little brother when he needed to be somewhere. Wasn't too bad, and they'd give me gas money if I had good grades and did chores when I wasn't working so that was fine. But once I paid for everything out of pocket, no more. Same rules my parents grew up with lol.

So yeah, if that's what you want to do, then tell your sister to have a better attitude or she can walk :P
